Who is responsible
MyCarryOnSize is run by the site owner, a natural person based in Morocco, who is the data controller. Contact: contact@mycarryonsize.com.
The bag checker
The checker calculates everything in your browser. The sizes and weights you type are never sent to a server. To remember your last check, the checker saves your inputs (sizes, units, bag type, selected airline and fare) in your browser's local storage under the key mcos.tool.v1. This stays on your device; you can delete it at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser. The same inputs also appear in the page address so that you can share a check; they are only sent if you share or reload that address.
Hosting and server logs
The site is hosted on Cloudflare Workers (Cloudflare, Inc.). To deliver pages and protect the site, Cloudflare processes technical data of each request, such as your IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time. Request logs of the site are enabled in Cloudflare to detect errors and abuse. Cloudflare may process this data outside your country, including in the United States.
If you write to contact@mycarryonsize.com, your message is forwarded by Cloudflare Email Routing to the site owner's mailbox. Your address and message are used only to answer you and to check the correction you report.
What the site does not do
- No analytics or visitor tracking.
- No advertising and no affiliate links.
- No user accounts, no forms and no database of visitors.
If any of this changes, this page will be updated before the change goes live.
Legal bases (GDPR)
For visitors in the European Union and the European Economic Area, server logs and email handling rely on the legitimate interest of running a secure website and answering messages (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). Local storage is used only to provide the checker you asked for, and never leaves your device.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you may ask for access to your data, its correction or deletion, the restriction of its processing, its portability, and you may object to its processing. You may also lodge a complaint with the data protection authority of your country.
Under Moroccan law 09-08 on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data, you have the right to access, correct and object to the processing of your data. You may contact the CNDP (Commission Nationale de contrôle de la protection des Données à caractère Personnel).
